BEN NORRIS AND JONNY AWSUM at the Cackling Bat Comedy Club

Comedy store headliner, Ben Norris and musical funnyman Jonny Awsum (as seen on Britains Got Talent) lead the line up of talent on the September show.

BEN NORRIS:  Ben is a highly experienced and hugely well-respected stand-up. He’s been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material.

Other interesting facts about Ben: he’s the cousin of actor Martin Freeman and also the father of triplets (2 girls and a boy).

Ben’s TV credits include: “Mock the week” (BBC 1), “The Comedy Store” (Paramount and Comedy Central), “Never mind the Buzzcocks” (BBC 2), “They think it’s all over” (BBC 2)

Ben has written and performed three solo shows at The Edinburgh Festival, he was Ed Byrne’s tour support for his 2013 UK tour and appeared at the Apollo, Hammersmith.

JONNY AWSUM:  Jonny shot to national fame on Britain’s Got Talent. His TV performances won standing ovations and unanimous praise from the judges and went viral on the internet, racking up over 50 million views on YouTube.Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe.  Jonny supported Jason Manford in arenas around the country and recorded his 2000th show for a new live album. VINNY SHUI:  Vinny is a London-based stand up comedian who combines comedy songs with stories and jokes to highlight his unique upbringing; growing up in the West, as part of an Asian family.

Vinny was a finalist in the Comedy Virgins INGTE Summer Competition 2022, Semi-Finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards 2023 and a Finalist in The Comedy Store's King Gong Show.

Vinny believes that comedy is not only about sharp jokes but also about giving audiences a performance. His style is immersive, physical and dynamic. Vinny regularly MCs at his comedy night Oops Comedy in Tooting and has performed in some of the UK's most famous comedy clubs including Big Belly Comedy Club, Up The Creek and The Comedy Store.
